Remove the Datasmith plugin per these instructions..

I am now freaking out. nothing is working! I’ve emailed you guys as well the plugin is no longer on my Mac I’ve checked every avenue and it’s been deleted but Rhino is still not opening. It won’t open anything. not even a new model.

Please help, I’m working on urgent projects and the timezone issue is not helping.

Please follow these steps exactly and completely. Do not skip any steps.

Manual Clean Uninstall Steps

  1. Quit Rhino: Ensure Rhino is not running.
  2. Delete Application: Open your Applications folder and drag the Rhino app to the Trash.
  3. Remove Application Support Files:
  • In Finder, select Go > Go to Folder… in the menu bar.
  • Type ~/Library/Application Support and click Go.
  • Locate the McNeel folder and move it to the Trash.
  1. Remove Preferences:
  • In Finder, select Go > Go to Folder…
  • Type ~/Library/Preferences and click Go.
  • Delete com.mcneel.rhinoceros.plist.
  1. Remove Shared Files:
  • In Finder, select Go > Go to Folder…
  • Type /Users/Shared and click Go.
  • Locate the McNeel folder and move it to the Trash.
  1. Empty Trash: Right-click the Trash icon and select “Empty Trash” to permanently remove files. [1, 2, 3, 4]
  2. Restart your machine . Do not skip this step.
  3. download a new installer from here- https://www.rhino3d.com/download/rhino-for-mac/8/latest/
  4. install rhino and log into your account when prompted- you do not need to renenter your license.
