I am working on a project that requires an effect as seen in the photos attached below, but I am struggling to fully understand how to do it properly.
I have been working on a script that has me extremely close to the desire result, but it is still missing the mark in specific aspects. Any help would be appreciated! The script is attached below. first dfference (I think) most of the rotations are equal. but one (or 2?)is bigger. (your first image)
second: at a certain place the rotation direction changes, reverses. (your second image)
(it might help to read the shape on the screen to create a loft - so i place lines first that can be replaced by long profiles later on)

Thank you so much! You helped give me a really good framework for understanding this sculpture a bit better. Every photo and its angle began to confuse me and give me more questions about what was going on lol. A main struggle was trying to figure out how the rotation direction switch worked.
