Help with modelling arched undercroft in Visual ARQ

Hello!

I’ve been trying to model something similar to the attached images of an arched undercroft-type room. I’m totally new to Visual ARQ so I’ve been trying to quickly model it with walls and arched openings. However, when I begin to place that arched openings in the walls, the intersections of all the walls cause some type of glitch and the arches occasionally switch to open or closed. I initially thought I could solve this by changing the wall join to ‘none’ and although this worked at first, the problem returned.

Any advice on how to solve this issue or alternative methods that could get me the same/similar result fairly quickly and easily?

Thank you!

Hi @Wiam_Mostefai can you share that model? or at least the part of the walls and openings? we will revise why some openings are not created properly.

Try to play with the “Cut Depth” value of these openings, making sure they are higher than the wall thickness.

Hello Francesc, thank you very much for your response. Please find the file on the following wetransfer link as it was too large to attach here. I will also try to edit the cut depth! I didn’t think of that before :folded_hands: Unique Download Link | WeTransfer

Hi @Wiam_Mostefai Thanks for the file! We will revise this issue and fix it in one of the upcoming updates. I’ll let you know when it’s done.

Hello, that’s great! Thank you very much
