Help Starting Simple Model

Hi Group,
I am wanting to create a fully parametric model of a very simple, 3D abstract fish-like form (see image link below) and having trouble even getting started. The trickiest part will probably be having the longitudinal curve of the fish’s body parametric. I had once used Grasshopper off and on for about five years, but now haven’t even touched it in about five years. I’ve been searching online for places to start without luck, so here I am back at this trusty group! Any help much appreciated.

Rhino v.5
Grasshopper v.0.9.0076

a dirty sketch just for fun

Thank-you Inno, I’m going to study this now!

This is great! It looks like I need Rhino v.6 in order to use the Flow component and perhaps whatever that “0:1” graph component is.

you will need this for the Graph Mapper:

about the Flow component, don’t know about previous versions, I’m on latest release of V7… but there are for sure other ways to get to the very same final outcome that do not use that specific component if tht’s not available on V5

Cool, I’m really close now! Just trying to figure out how to create the Flow component with my Rhino5 version of Grasshopper [v.0.9.0076]… (I tried Surface Morph, but didn’t seem to work)

can’t test this on my own -I’m on v7- but this plugin from food4rhino promises to bring Flow functionality for GH on v5 (SR12+)

Wow! Thank you so much, Inno! ‘Flow’ actually is one of the eight components in Jackalope. Now I’ve got it working perfectly. Thanks again!!
