I accidentally saved over an old project with a new one on rhino 8 educational. It said “this file already exists do you want to replace it” I said yes. Please help me recover my old project. I’m sure it backed up at least once but I don’t know where to find it on my pc
If it did save a backup version, it will be the same file name but with the .3dmbak extension. It will most likely in the same directory where the original file was.
If you click on File > Open and go to the folder where you were saving the project, you should see it in the list of files that you could open.

Apart from what was already said, by default, when saving multiple times, the previous versions are moved to the trash can and you should be able to find those there.
