Hello,
I had some troubles trying to align the normal, U and V and their directions. I finally made something that “works” but seems a lof of steps, and still has some normals pointing to the wrong side. I wonder if there are a better solution.
The surfaces are a face of a BREP, because I need the bigger face of the BREP sometimes is the upper or the bottom one. The BREPS have some cuts so some are also Trimmed Surfaces.
First I try to align the normals, then I check what UV are inverted and Transpose, now check the direction of the UV and reverse the ones needed.
Thank you, but it doesn’t. I probably didn’t explain well enough because didn’t mention what was the goal for.
After some trys it works but makes the trimmed surfaces untrimmed to the boundary (Transpose).
The goal is to have all the surfaces from same plane in the same direction. This is due to the continuity of the grain of the wood sheets. And needed in latter states were I need to organize the pieces into the wood sheets and take incount the grain. surfaceUV2.gh (2.4 MB)
