Hi, I am trying to create a brep along the plane that I indicated… but something doesn’t work. There’s something that I don’t understand.
My goal is to make plate between 2 breps for this truss.
The plan that I have indicated is not ortogonal to plane xy.
Can you internalize the curves created by the Tekla components into the Extend Curves component and repost the .gh file?
I would assume from looking at the picture, that you are not providing Brep | Plane with a plane, but a surface geometry created by the Move component.
HI, thanks for your answer. You right, here the .gh file with curves internalize. I don’t know, I thought that creating a plane with 2 segments was the right way, I didn’t use a surface. TRUSS.gh (20.3 KB)
The problem isn’t with the plane creating a surface. It was beginner’s difficulty with understanding data structure.
However, it’s still a bit sketchy. Maybe the Tekla geometry is inaccurate, or the circle interpolation, but you can see here how intersection of the planes with the pipes do not create sections that overlap:
Oh! You did a great job helping me. I really appreciate it, thank you.
As you can understand, I am new to Grasshopper…
The structure does not have a regular geometry by nature (even in this my first post was not very clear… sorry).
For this reason I wanted to experiment with two paths for this geometry, the first was to create a plate (a plane) between the tubes but with a radial direction. The second solution was the natural intersection of the tubes.
For the second solution you predicted what I would probably ask you later.
You solved my doubts, I have the 2 solutions to my geometry problem.
Thanks again!
