Having issue with joining curve to polysurface..please help

hi.i was trying to join this curve to a ellipsoid along the arc which I have joined with both of them.I have tried lofting and joining the surfaces but it doesn’t work.please help .
here’s what I mean.

I guess you’re looking for Sweep2 command.
