I am currently trying to hatch out my floor plan using the hatch command. However it does not pick up that there are any closed shapes to hatch. Is there any quick way to solve this without having to trace every single line with a shape?
Are there any closed shapes? Running SelClosedCrv will select them if so. If you just have a series of areas defined by intersecting open curves, you can still hatch them by setting the Boundary option in Hatch to Yes. You can then choose regions to hatch in a way similar to CurveBoolean.

It looks like you have used the ClippingDrawings command to create that floor plan (?). If so, when you set the section style of the original objects and use the “create hatch” option in that command, the hatches will be created automatically on closed sections.
The layers that are generated by the command are locked and you need to unlock them to be able to use the curves to manually create hatches.
Without a 3dm file, it’s hard to provide help…
