Hatch1 displays and prints as solid

Latest build.

It won’t even display properties.

Hej Piotr -

That looks fine here:

But I’m possibly on a newer build than what you are running.
What happens when you delete that one and then add the defaults back (blue circle arrow)?

Hi Wim

After reopening the session the Hatch1 looks like it should, but there is still something not right.

In Gh it looks like this, when active:

but bakes correctly

I haven’t done any reset, yet the Hatch1 looks normal today in options menu:

Hej Piotr -

That looks fine here as well:

Is this file-specific?
Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste its output here.
-wim

I would say it is rather solution-specific

It displays solid and bakes lines in a new script. See if you can reproduce it. File attached.

solid hatch1.gh (7.0 KB)

Hi Piotr -

Yes. It doesn’t resolve “Hatch1” as a hatch pattern, it seems.
This works:

@kike and @AndyPayne would have more insight…

But why it bakes correct then?

Besides, if the file is empty, what are you going to query?

Hi Piotr -

An empty document doesn’t contain any hatch patterns. You always need to first either create one in Rhino or go to the Document Properties and open the Hatch page. That will instantly create the patterns. Hatches have always worked like this in Rhino.

I thought that was the issue that you were running into with your workflow and when I tested that, I first did create a Rhino hatch object. But, for some reason that I hope the developers can answer, that didn’t make a difference.
