Rhino 8.
Single click
… same as in Rhino 7.
Numerical input shown near the cursor/gumball. Ok.
Click-n-drag
… same as in Rhino 7.
Dynamic update. Ok.
Could be better if the number was displayed near the cursor/gumball.
Double-click to relocate
… just wtf!
The behavior is completely different from normal single click! WHY??
Why double-click-ing arc/rotation, entering a number, enter key-press … results in a “snap” like behavior? Requiring an additional click. Why sign is useless?
With small numbers you can’t be sure you’ve done the correct placement of the gumball relocation because you literally have to do it manually!!! (try with 1 degree or a small translation, you have to zoom in! UX/UI fail. Could be better if dynamic update existed, but there isn’t. In 7 you can read the dynamic update while repositioning the gumball… functionality lost!)
Please re-study this! This is broken! Objectively broken.
PS
Double click is a BAD IDEA for UX in any case and any context… especially when it slows down visual feedback of the single click function.)
Why rhino buttons have functions through:
- single click
- click-n-hold
- right click
… but no double-click?
Let’s just give additional feature to each button! Accessible with double click!
No. This is sarcasm.
Instead, the opposite:
Why use double click on gumball when you can still use right-click, CTRL-click, ALT-click, SHIFT-click …?
