Gumball rotate 180°?

Why can’t we rotate objects 180° with gumball?

Even when I type 180 it rotates the gumball, but not the object…

It seems this behavior for the text controlled by

Is this actually a bug not able rotate text 180 with gumball with that setting enabled? Rotating around Z-axis (in top view) does not make text view from “behind”.

Hi Vano -

The Gumball doesn’t have anything to do with this behavior. You see the same thing using Rotate. And thus, the answer to the question is “No”. The behavior is as intended.

Ok, maybe not gumball related, but still the setting specifically state viewing text from behind, aka mirrored. Rotate doesn’t make text mirrored, it should not affect rotation…

Since this setting only controls visual aspect of the text and not actual stored text orientation, the exported text will not inherit the visual orientation, so what you see is not what you get when you export..

Hi Vano -

For your needs, you will need to uncheck that option in the annotation style.

My point is, this setting is enabled by default, if someone is trying find the reason why they can’t rotate text 180°, the naming of that setting would not suggest it’s the reason…It’s very useful feature, just too bad it affects rotation and not only flipping.
If there was additional option for rotation it would be absolutely brilliant.
