The gumball axis plane indicators and menu ball are hard to see because they are only one pixel wide. Unlike other parts of the gumball widget, their width cannot be adjusted. I believe that optimum width of both of them is about 3 pixels.

That of course would be for you on your display. What is your display resolution and pixel per inch or mm? I agree that your observation that they are not adjustable should be considered a bug.
Maybe one of the McNeel experts will reveal how they expect the user to deal with the underlying issue or why they thought it was unimportant to do so.
I typed gumball into advanced options before posting this complaint - there is nothing useful there.
