Gumball jumps opposite way of move direction

The gumball in rendered mode mostly jumps to the opposite way of the move direction. It becomes very annoying when positioning objects for a long session because this becomes worse as the file gets worked in and I noticed when blocks are imported.

Hi RM - set Gumball to be Smooth and not ‘Snappy’ - (right click context menu) Is that better?

I think there is a small bug here but if that’s how it’s supposed to work for snappy I can live with it? Many times snappy works just like smooth with the added benefit of snaps but than I get that jump away from where I clicked on the gumball arrow many times, but randomly happening.
