Gumball issues

I like to change the direction of the gumball to move things around and orient them to how i need them to be. but the ctrl button from rhino 6 no longer does the same thing. How would I alter the direction of the gumball without it going into extrude mode? This is for Rhino 8. Please let me know thank you. I tried checking the settings, but I cannot find which option can change this problem.

ctrl was changed to double-click.
to relocate or turn around just duble-click the handle in question

if you want to enter numerics hold ctrl and double-click

the problem is when doubleclicking on gumball over block or text it tends to edit those instead of invoking relocation
