Very simple bug. All you do to reproduce is make a text object then select it and change the height of it in the properties tab. You can make it bigger or smaller. When you change it the gumball will stay in place visually as you can see in the video. So when you click it nothing will happen because the gumball has actually moved to the proper position in the center of the text but the screen hasnt been updated yet.
