Group lines according a threshold distance

I have a set of line and I want to group them according to a threshold distance between them. Is it possible?

I think Joseph gave you the same level of answer as your question. Most of the time it is appreciated you post some curve example and a beginning of script. Because, most of the time, there was not all the detail so the answer is not good. The devil is in the details.
But whatever the most simple answer could be that.

BUT curves must be equal size and aligned, because here I took the middle as a representative of the line. If curves are angles, with different length it could not work.
