Hi all,
I want to group a set of data, in this case the colours I am testing against in a main list to sort a set of meshes. When I manually do it using the entwine component it works perfectly. But doing it where I duplicate the branch of colours to match the number of branches (meshes) where the colours are output it doesn’t create the same result.
Digging back through the data in the red set with paramviewers and panels the data looks right to me and matches the green set of components. But as you can see in the paramviewer it’s not matchy matchy.
I’ve dug around the forums and through the list of tutorials but I can’t seem to solve this one. It’s driving me a bit nuts. Not a chatGPT thing too as it’s too complex for that, it’s usually not overly good at these problems.
Hello Scotty!
It’s pretty hard to understand what is going on without an example script. I have a strong feeling that your data is not matching the way it needs to.
Are you simply trying to pull each color into its own group/branch of data? If so, I could provide an example of that, which would involve using the index values as branch paths. There is always our office hours in a few hours.
Hey @chrislandau
Thank you very much for your response. I have been utilizing @bensummay has been very helpful over the past two weeks in helping me master your amazing tools. I think this is more of a general problem and not 100% a LandKit issue, however, if you’re offering I’ll take that
I’ll see Ben at 3pm my time. I was hoping to have moved on to planting this week but this workflow is important for me to solve so I can perform design iterations with a list of values.
Thank you!
