WIP is working, but when I open anything in v5 now, the ground plane renders from above, to infinity; not from below, ie -z locations. I can’t locate any settings to turn this on or off, certainly the transparency a and grid on/off have no affect. Bit of an issue for me, I can’t work on stuff when half the model appears to be buried in sand…
I haven’t run into v5’s ground plane changing after installing the WIP but I do know that if it is on in a file and you are using a render engine that doesn’t support the Rhino Ground Plane then you won’t be able to turn it off. The fix is to switch the current renderer to Rhino Render in the Render drop down menu and then open the Ground Plane Panel from the Panels menu. Turn it off and switch your renderer back to what you were using. Does that solve the problem?
Hi Brian,
yes, that worked, many thanks. Penguin was selected as the renderer, but I’ll be honest, I don’t think I have ever opened the Panels menu, so I don’t know how it got changed!
You learn something every day, don’t you?! And I have another menu to explore…
Many thanks.
