Dear all,
I’ve been trying to make grooves on the first line but I’m not giving the right command. Assistance appreciated.
Red line indicates grooves at equal intervals
Regards
I would first make that shape into a surface using the boundary surface component. I would then divide that one line into equal segments (3 in this case), then create a box volume with x and y dimensions the size of the groove you want. The z dimension can be anything above 0. You could then do a solid difference to ‘cut’ the grooved into the surface.

@works.satyajit posted the same task as you do. Are you guys in the same class?
Hello, I’m Satyajit R from Mumbai, India. Since I’m new to the software, I wish to understand more on how to optimise and use it in an efficient manner.
I’ve sketched a 2D shape on my notepad, and I wish to replicate the same using Grasshopper. There are grooves and replication of the shape around 10 times. I’ve also created a draft shape in Grasshopper. I would really appreciate if anyone could guide me on how to complete the shape in Grasshopper.
Warm regards,

What a coincidence. That shape is quite similar to mine.
Small world.
I was about to ask if there’s some competition or something to create this
