Grid snap is every 2.5 grids where to alter this?

Grid snaps never seem to always be as expected, I now see the cursor snapping to every 2.5 grids (0.1inch per grid). I look in properties and all I see in modelling aids is grid snap on.

Where does one tell Rhino the snaps must be to the grid of 0.1inch ?

many times I find when selecting grid snap it wont snap to a grey grid line but somewhere in between.

I also wish it would snap to a grid under a line, only snaps to areas without lines on them.

maybe grid snap should exist under one area.

or default to the minor grid lines. I chose inches decimal and got 10 minor grid lines 0.1inch and it chose 0.25inch.
