Not exactly, I just don’t want to make the hole. I want to take a panel of the grid and scale it so that the surrounding grid lines get compressed and create the effect seen in the photo.
Ah, got it. You can use ShapeMap to flatten the 3d shape into a plane, lay out the grid curve on the flat plane, and then remap them back onto the original surface to create the structural. Here’s a reference exmaple, hope this helps.
I am looking for the grid to adapt to the shape as it approaches the circle. This way, when the grid gets closer to the circle, even thought there is a compression, most of it gets cut off. I don’t know if it is possible what I want, but thanks anyways!
