GrasshopperDeveloperSettings command not responding

Hi,
My Rhino instance freezes when I try to run the command GrasshopperDeveloperSettings. I can hit escape to return to Rhino but this is super debilitating because I need to reference another folder.

I’ve found this topic from 10 years ago https://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/grasshopper-developer-settings-path-problem?page=1&commentId=2985220%3AComment%3A697708&x=1#2985220Comment697708

This occurred after moving files around on my computer such that the original referenced paths no longer exist.

It seems to be related to what I’m experiencing. I have tried editing Grasshopper_Kernel.xml and removing the offending references. I save the XML. When I reopen Rhino, it somehow digs out the old settings from some unknown cache and repopulates with the garbage references.

:expressionless:

Bumping this message. This is still happening to me and it makes work very difficult. Can someone please comment?

Even with the weird folder names removed from the XML, it is still hanging up.

It means that I cannot control where Rhino looks for Grasshopper plugins, which means I cannot, say, run two different versions of the same plugin on two instances of Rhino to compare performance, etc., which I commonly do as a course of business throughout the day.

I figured it out! It was a window issue. If I disconnect my external monitor the settings window shows up.
