Grasshopper read wall layer "function"

Hello, is there a way to read out the wall layer “function” via Grasshopper?

Hi @bjornsmolarek,

Not in the current version, but this will be possible in VisualARQ 3.

Hi Alfonso, thanks for the reply.

Would it be possible to integrate it into Visualarq 3 so that you can store your own wall layer function? “user defined ons”

Hi @bjornsmolarek,

Do you mean making this field completely customizable? Which values would you like to use instead of the ones currently available?

Hello Alfonso,
sorry for my very later answer, I was very busy.

I’m in the process of creating a U-value calculator with Grasshopper (using Visualarq walls) and, for example, I’m missing the “rear ventilation” layer in “Functions” but it would be nice if the user can define custom layer types.

I hope the translation for the Layer definition is correct.

Hi @bjornsmolarek,

In that case, I think the best way to do it is by adding a custom parameter to wall layers. The problem is that currently it is not possible to obtain those custom parameters from Grasshopper, I’ll let you know when it is possible.
