Grasshopper Only Showing "Params" Tab – Missing Standard Tabs

Dear Rhino Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am currently facing an issue with Grasshopper in Rhino where only the “Params” tab is visible upon launch, while all other standard tabs such as “Math”, “Sets”, “Vector”, “Surface”, etc., are missing.

Hi -

Try the Rhino GrasshopperLoadOneByOne command and say no to all 3rd party gh plugins.

Started having the same issue recently. GrasshopperLoadOneByOne does fix it but it would be great to know what the culprit is. Haven’t installed any new plugins in a long time.

Hi Ryan -

To find that out, you’ll need to allow a single plug-in at a time and see if that triggers a problem or not.

Yeah was afraid of that. Especially since UnloadGrasshopperAssembly no longer exists it means restarting rhino each time.

The plugin causing the issue was OpenNest from @Petras_Vestartas. I see there was a fairly recent update to the plugin (which is an amazing tool btw).

Never seen that :slight_smile:

@wim

What could cause that?

@Ryan_Whitby
Do you have only one version or multiple ones, including old ones?
And do you have any error message in Rhino Command line?

hello, I was having the exact same problem, and when I uninstall OpenNest from my Rhino 8, it magically solved the problem. FYI @Petras_Vestartas

It is with the recent version? Can you provide more info…

Hi! Been having the same problem since versions 2.10 and 2.11. Reverting to 2.9 makes the tabs reappear.

And do you have any error message in Rhino Command line?
I need someone to help me to debug this, since everything works for my windows machines:

I didn’t get any error messages. I thought OpenNest 2 didn’t work on Windows 10, while OpenNest 1 was working properly.

This is another point, this can be compiled with Windows 10 C++ SDK.

Now lets try to solve the first problem.

The command line shows no errors for me either. That being said, I’ve checked and seen that the new versions work for me in Rhino 8, my issue is exclusive to Rhino.Inside Revit. Not sure if that’s also @Vijayaraj_N 's case.
For reference my current version is:

Rhino.Inside Revit: 1.29.9186.27799 (2025-02-24T15:26:38)
Rhino: 8.16.25042.13001 (Rhino 8)
Revit: 2023.1.50 (23.1.50.23)

i tried now but i didn’t get any error @Petras_Vestartas

Hmm, i did a boo boo, and no idea what is happening…
One thing I see that you have OpenNest1 alongside OpenNest2.
The only thing that comes to my mind are guids duplicates. But I am not sure if this is a problem.

But nope opennest1 together with opennest2 works withoiut problem on my Rhino8:

@Maria_Sanchez I think my issue because of open nest letest version…

I just installed OpenNest 2 to check if any error messages appear..

@DavidRutten

What can cause such a problem?

Same issue for me, and just to add a bit more information, uninstall from Package Manager and reinstall OpenNest, doesn’t solve the problem.
