Grasshopper 'None Type' Error

Hi,

I’m new to Grasshopper and I’m attempting a solar envelopes analysis by following a step-by-step guide. However, I’ve encountered an issue with my figure grounds. Unlike the guide, mine mainly consist of circles. I’ve used “Set One Curve” for my main circular figure ground in the center (highlighted in yellow), and “Set Multiple Curves” for all the other figure grounds, but they still appear flat. I’m also receiving a “None Type” error message in the Solar Envelope panel.
Could you please assist me with resolving this issue?
Thank you.

I have zero experience whatsoever with Ladybug, but looks like you have infringed rule C of the first page of the guide

there are 3 single lines which are not closed Polylines

I would make sure all the curves are Polylines (you can use Curve To Polyline component with a Tolerance value of your choice) and make sure also all curves are Close :+1:

Thanks for your reply. I deleted the 3 single lines and tried to use the Curve to Polyline command to convert the curves into polylines, however I’m not sure if I did it right. I am still getting the same error message though.

Hi Eucalyptus -

For questions related to the Ladybug Tools, please visit https://discourse.ladybug.tools/.
Apart from that, I understand you are following a step-by-step guide, but it probably makes more sense using the new version of LBT instead of this old legacy version…
