Grasshopper new Name?

yesterday i realised that my room roses were eaten up completely and figured that a little grasshopper had nested during my vacation inside. Yes Grasshoppers need to eat to, but they can raid complete crops and are not the most symbiotic creatures in the universe as far as I can think. No i did not smudge it up, I just threw it out.

Of course nobody is going to change the name because of my stupid little accident but I just ask myself where does the name come from and why must it have such a parasitic naming which is completely intrusive to what Rhino symbolically stands for in my opinion?

Since we are going to switch to 2.0 at some point maybe its a good time to think more sustainable :man_shrugging: maybe we could call it Rosebush

It could be a worse name, like mosquito or caterpillar or locust (I wont mention cockroach for the sake of another plugin) . :joy:
After being overrun with grasshoppers though you have to wonder at least a little “Why Grasshopper?”.

cockroaches are not that bad, they clean up our mess at least, not their fault that we are so messy

I know, mine would have to go away to :sleepy: I vote we keep it. I don’t mind Grasshopper in the slightest.

Abrupt name change is an Autodesk Thing, luckily Mcneel doesn’t care that much about senseless marketing.

Gota love McNeel :grinning: :+1:

McNeel is probably too small to even allow themselves such moves. Changing names is a useless thing, but well… in this case i would vote for a change… i really loved my roses.

life is so uncertain :man_shrugging:

perhaps… if someone is not a kung fu fan anymore… can we then call it Rosebush?

Oh so Rosebush will be release in 2024? will it be part of Rhino 9? so I will wait and won’t by a Rhino 7 License.
