Grasshopper Lists: Tree Branch/Manage Path Collection

In spite of an explanatory tutorial I’m unable to change the path select value, for example from {0;0;0} to {0;0;2} in the drop-down dialogue with a right click at Tree Branch § input. After editing and OK-ing, the new value simply does not stick but returns to default. Any idea?

Please internalise the surface(s) in the grasshopper file or provide a rhino file with the surfaces.
