Grasshopper link VA

Hello, I would like some information about grasshopper.
I created an annotation that takes the Z position of the place where I put it. However I would like to link another data which would be the height of the element (here a slab) on which I place this annotation. How can I do with grasshopper to make it understand that it must look for information in the elements on which I put this annotation.

Hello @Rabet_Florentin,

In that case, maybe you could use a vaTag, instead of a Grasshopper style. With tags you can display property and parameter values of specific objects.

You have information about tags here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6MDWotbYDg
You can find more information in the VisualARQ hep:

Here you have an example attached (as you said a slab, you will need to display the thickness property instead of the height property):
Tag.3dm (3.0 MB)

ok, but let’s imagine that I absolutely have to use grasshopper, isn’t there a solution? I just wish I could select a particular Visual Arq object in GH

That is not possible for now, but I agree, there should be a way to create tags from Grasshopper; maybe not necessarily with a Grasshopper style but with VisualARQ Grasshopper components at least. I’ll keep you updated about it.
