Is this a bug or is there some kind of setting?

For the rendering display mode (and some others), you’ll have to disable the rendering option in the custom preview component as well.

This works as it is supposed to. To hide the geometry piped into the custom preview component in Rendered, Arctict and Raytraced you need to disable the Render entry of its context menu [image]
