For my Master Craftsman project as a woodturner, I am building a loudspeaker system with an organic lattice structure that will be SLS printed in PA12.
I am looking for someone experienced in Rhino 8 and Grasshopper who can create the geometry and develop the corresponding Grasshopper script.
Goals:
Generate a 3D Voronoi lattice within a volume provided by me
Different boundary types: connection areas, closed lattice boundaries, and open-ended struts
Adjustable cell size / number of cells
Adjustable strut thickness
Smooth, organic transitions at the nodes
If possible, locally adjustable lattice density
Final watertight geometry suitable for SLS printing
Complete the finished geometry for the first model
Provide the Grasshopper file (.gh) so I can generate and modify future models myself
I will provide the base geometry and reference images. Structural optimization or simulation is not required.
Software: Rhino 8 / Grasshopper
Material / Process: PA12 / SLS
Budget: 200-300 Euro
Timeframe: Completion by October 5, 2026 at the latest.
I’m interested in helping with the Voronoi lattice for your loudspeaker project. I’m an architect and computational designer working with Rhino and Grasshopper, with a background in architectural metalwork and lighting fabrication.
My work includes parametric geometry and reusable Grasshopper definitions. For your project, I’d focus on making the controls understandable so you can adjust the lattice and generate future versions yourself.
Could you send the base volume, reference images, and any minimum wall or strut thickness requirements from your printing provider? It would also help to see where you need solid connection areas, closed boundaries and open-ended struts.
After reviewing those, I can confirm what I can deliver within your €200–€300 budget and October 5 deadline, including the first model and editable Grasshopper file. We can also establish whether locally adjustable density fits within that scope.
