I’m interested in the Grasshopper Developer role for the parametric staircase system.
I have around three years of experience working with Rhino and Grasshopper in production-oriented design contexts, where parametric logic is closely tied to material behaviour and fabrication constraints. Much of my recent work has focused on computationally driven lighting systems and large-scale 3D printing.
My current focal point lies in the creation of complex, manufacturable geometries and surface logic, however one of early my projects was the design of a cost effective HDPE sheet press, so there is definitely a basis for your Nice to have criteria.
If this sounds relevant, feel free to contact me at fromferriswithlove@gmail.com and I’ll be happy to send over a PDF portfolio with selected parametric and fabrication-driven examples.
This is feasible, and I’m interested in getting some more information. If you are still looking for help here it would be great to connect. Send me an email at cwpope.design@gmail.com and we can arrange a time to talk.
I’ve worked one foot in the shop, the other in Rhino/grasshopper for 8+ years now. While my experience with rolling/bending steel and aluminum is limited, I’ve programmed and operated various CNC machines (routers, lasers, other robotics) for a long time utilizing Rhino + RhinoCAM + Grasshopper.
Take a look at the following link, the first project should tell you enough. Happy to share more over a call.
I’m a designer/fabricator based in South Korea, running an independent studio working across furniture and interior-scale projects. I’m hands-on through the full process (design, fabrication, and installation) with some welding and assembly done personally, and close coordination with workshops for CNC, laser cutting, and bending.
Currently, I work as an outsourced parametric design specialist collaborating with 9Architectus, a Korean architecture firm, bridging the gap between design intent and fabrication.
Recent relevant work includes the Pohang Hwanho Park ‘Spacewalk’, where I developed fabrication-ready handrail geometry and built a Grasshopper algorithm to automatically generate freeform platform stairs from input guide curves.
I also worked on Ron Arad’s ‘Spin’ sculpture for Seoul, using Grasshopper to translate the original 3D form into fabrication-ready geometry, developing internal joint details, structural connections, and part segmentation for local fabricators.
I’m currently six months into a freeform staircase structure (under NDA), handling the full Grasshopper algorithm from concept through to pre-fabrication handoff.
Happy to share my studio portfolio if you’re interested.
