I did something to my component panel.
My component panel only shows icons or the first letter of the respective plugin.
I’ve tried all the view options as well as preferences.
I’ve trawled the web.

right click on the Icon/Letter and change the view is the quickest way.
Another reason for just showing letters is if you have too many tabs (plugins)
