Grasshopper 2 stopped opening entirely

I’ve been running into this problem for a while and I’m deciding to ask about it today.
Some time ago, executing the G2 command started doing the following:
The grasshopper 2a splash screen fully loads, then disappears. Nothing else happens.
I am not really sure what information to supply to help diagnosing this issue. I don’t think that there are any windows “hiding” on the screen, and I can’t find any process running on the computer that might be grasshopper2. This is windows 11. Running the G2 command a second time before exiting Rhino WIP does nothing, the splash screen does not appear again until the program is restarted.

If you have any suggestions please let me know.

The current G2 alpha is dated April 21st. If yours is older you could try installing the latest version. I don’t know, but it is a possibility that yours has expired.

Yeah, I’ve actually checked to make sure I’m up to date with the latest version for multiple releases since it’s stopped working. I’ve also used the option to repair my WIP installation to no avail.

I have the same issue, reinstalled Grasshopper 2 a couple of times, and tried versions from April 20th and 21st. All I got is a splash screen.

Further tests showed that version 2.0.8507 from the 17th of April works.

Hi -
It looks like a newer version became available in the meanwhile?

FIXED: After setting my display scaling to 125 and back to 100% it now works!

Is still a problem for others? I installed the version published today, v2.0.8514-wip.19846, to prepare for the workshop at STF later today, and I only get the splash screen as well.

Hej Jens -

Do you remember which version you were running before all this? A DPI bug was fixed a while back and I notice that you mentioned that the April 17th version didn’t work for you either, as opposed to what Jakub was seeing…

Hey WIM, sorry for late answer. STF, then post STF flu.

I can’t memeber what version i Was on before, but it was a recent one, because i reinstalled WIP just a couple of days before as a clean slate for the workshop.
