Gradient perforation

Hello community.

I am trying to generate a more linear gradient within my given diamond grid - see speaker picture. With help from you guys here i did made it that far - see GH file. But somehow the appearance is different. Any ideas are appreciated

Thank you Laurent, interesting approach. I was thinking in a similar direction but having trouble to apply this half-tone to the grid given. Happy Holiday season :slight_smile:
