Global user defined color palette for layers

Dear all,

As Rhino7 newbie, I really like the user defined color palette for layers. My project consists of hundreds of rhino files, and it would be great if I could define a custom color palette that I can apply easily to the rhino file. At the moment it seems that the palette is limited to the individual file or do I miss something here?
I know there is a default color palette, however not every color works with the gray background, so I rather would like to define my own set that is editable - e.g. it should be possible to remove unused colors, something I have not found out how to do. I first test the color for it’s readability on the gray background and slightly tune the color tone until it is perfect; this however ends up with dozens of very similar colors in the palette you cannot get rid of anymore, at least I could not find out how.

thanks
Cyana

Layers and their settings are stored in Document properties, and initially established based on the Template you selected when you created the file.
There is no mechanism to impost a standard through application options.

Hi John,

thank you for the explanation. Is there a way to remove colors from the custom palette?

thanks
