Give Voxel a strength; Convert it to bar

Hi all,

pretty basic question i guess, but I’m stuck with it.

I generated a Voxelcloud with the Crystallon Plug-in and extracted the Box’-outlines with Weaverbirds Face Polyline command.
So far so good.
Now I want to give them Polylines a strength - I thought of creating a rectangle and the start point of each curve and simply extruding it - but I cant figure out the direction. (it has to be the vector of each individual curve i guess)
