GHPython interpreting CMD+Z as delete all

In the latest version of Rhino7 (7.28.23058.03002, 2023-02-27) for macOS, the GHPython completely deletes all of its text content, when the usual keyboard combination for undo - CMD + z -, is used and its clipboard queue is empty!

To repeat simply spawn a new GHPython component onto the canvas, open the editor, and hit CMD + z. The default boilerplate descriptive comment text and import statement will be erased. The same happens if there’s user code.
CMD + SHIFT + z works to undo the purge.
