Ghosted View Pipe - Internal Isoparm Shade Annoyance

#1

Ghosted view of any pipe displays “shades” of the isoparms inside the pipe. Didn’t to do this until recently if memory servers. Minor annoyance, though devalues the quality of Ghosted View.

Example:

Issue amplified when a contrasting color is behind the scene:

Existed for a while (months?) after a relatively recent change to graphics. Sorry, I’ve forgotten exactly when this surfaced.

To repeat:

  1. Draw curve

  2. Pipe the curve

  3. Display set to Ghosted

Ghosted View Shade Issue - 5A783w
(Brian James) #2

Thanks, filed as http://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/MR-2107

I see it here too with an Nvidia card versus your FirePro.

#3

Thanks! In addition to Pipe, I believe I saw it in a Sweep as well as imported T-splines from Fusion.

#4

I’ve seen this as well with a gt120, which I’d attributed at the time to an extracted copy of a surface from a closed poly surface which had been out on another layer so I’d just thought it was that. Opened same file up and hid the layer with the extracted surface and the artifacts are/ is still there.

#5

Still an issue across all Macs models we’ve seen.

Attached is a file to expose. Set background to black.ghost issue.3dm (2.5 MB)
