GH UI hidden component tabs/icons - HowToFix?

Hi,
I suddenly have a problem with the GH-UI and I just can’t figure out where this came from (busy times). There are now these black tabs / “black pills” (see img), that obscure ALL my component icons.
And I have to click the pill, to show all the icons, which is SUPER ANNOYING.
Yes, I have clicked “show all components” in the preferences. I ruled out the influence of plugins and userComps. Unfortunately, I find it really hard to google for this, so I’m hoping one of you can recognize this f** feature and tell me how to TURN IT OFF
