GH Python3 component editing causes Rhino to crash

I have used the Python3 Scripting components for several years without issue, and recently discovered that attempting to edit the components causes Rhino to crash.
Existing components run without issue, but when I edit exisitng components, or create new ones, Rhino locks up.
Specifically, it seems clicking the ‘save’ icon in the grasshopper component script-editor causes Rhino to crash

Any ideas?

One doesn’t usually expect something that’s been working for a while to suddenly stop working as usual. It looks like nothing has changed with your Rhino or your video drivers in over a year.

The one thing that might have changed is Windows itself. Has Windows Update run recently?

I would suggest updating Rhino 8 to the latest SR, which is SR 29 or 30 (I don’t remember exactly), and your Nvidia driver to the latest. A lot of bug fixes and improvements have occurred in the last year.
