Hi, I do find that Gene Pool component quite useful as I did not find any other list item that can manually be populated with numeric values (Panel apparently will always output text even when populated with integers or floating values).
The pain in the neck though is that there seems to be no way to just type the individual values. You have to use the slider method and that is quite cumbersome when dealing with 2+ decimals where the values are known and have to be precise.
As I am pretty new to GH I might be missing something here. To clarify what I am trying to achieve:
a list of numeric values that is populated manually (typing the values) and used as input for other components e.g. Amplitude.
The new widget component in Rhino 9 WIP allows one to type in values per slider (on the component canvas slider below the component and in viewport space):
It’s probably a bit overkill if all you need is a genepool though (I agree that it’s looong overdue for an update!).
