GH Component menu runs out of screen - UI update request

Hi, I am using GH and Rhino8 on win11 in a dual display laptop where the second display is vertically half-size (2880 x 864 resolution). I place the GH UI in the second half-height display and when I try to open the component list, if the list doesn’t fit the display, I cannot select the lower components that are out of the screen (please see the first screenshot below).

The same problem happens for Rhino itself when I switch the displays. The laptop has a dedicated button to switch the views on two displays. So when I need to concentrate on the GH UI side, I switch the display contents to use GH on the main display and the Rhino window goes to the smaller display. In that case Rhino doesn’t let me scroll to the lower main menu items (the second screenshot below).

I guess Rhino probably has a minimum display resolution requirement to prevent similar situations and my case is probably quite niche, but if this an easy solution for the devs, It would be great to be able to use the mouse scroll wheel to scroll the menus in such situations, or at least have the arrows that are available on the GH main menu (please see the third screenshot below). The main reason for me to get this laptop was GH and I still find using rhino on it quite convenient as it is. If the problem gets fixed, that will be a bonus otherwise I can always use the display switch button. Thank you in advance.

I expect this will be a tough on. I would first make sure the two different video drivers listed above get up to date. At this point one is from 2023 and the other from December. There are probably newer ones of each.

That is a wild laptop setup, I like it. What laptop model is it? Is it possible to make that second narrow display higher resolution?

Thanks for the interest Scott. That’s an Asus Zenbook Duo UX8402VV model. They don’t build them anymore unfortunately, but they are selling new ones with two full screens powered by intel graphics. Update: I’ve just checked again and Asus is now collecting pre-orders for dual screen RTX models in the Zephyrus line but the prices are is immensely high at $4.5k-5.5k.

I particularly don’t update the Iris drivers as Asus may have made some customization(?) over the intel files as the laptop is unconventional, and Asus hasn’t released any updates for this. Thanks for letting me remember to update the Nvidia drivers though, I usually update them a few times a year and it looks like it’s been long since the last time.

The second display is at its native resolution, so 2880 x 864 is the best it can do.

Again, if that is a hard to fix issue, I can live with it.
