Geometry Preview Finder

With large definition it’s often difficult to find where on the canvas your preview geometry is generated. I am working on this script that will zoom to the component based on and alt+click in the rhino viewport. Anything that is previewed can be clicked. Let me know if you would find this helpful. This has been on my Wishlist for a looooong time!

there’s already a function I use very often, after highlighting a component in such a way it becomes green, you can pop-up the radial menu (that I keep linked to space bar) and click the lens-icon:

instead of the radial menu you can also just right-click on GH empty canvas and pick “zoom”:

What he shows is the opposite. You click in viewport and get component in canvas highlighted.

Yes, it’s this. Sorry if the video is not clear. It is meant for large definitions where it takes a while to find the location of geometry on display.

oh wow, ok, I must have watched it while drunk
