Is it possible to use other types of inputs or is the choice limited to these two components?
For example, I would like to use a graphmapper as a gen. How could I make this happen?

No. Genes that will connect to Wallacei should only be either Number Slider or Genepool objects. However you can do a lot with this and control the problem downstream creatively with sliders directly or indirectly
