Full Time Boat Collar Modeler and Flattener - Seattle WA Area

Inventech Marine Solutions, is a manufacturing company located in Bremerton WA. We specialize in the design, and manufacturing of high performance aluminum boats and state of the art hybrid foam/ air boat collar systems. We have a newly established brand called Life Proof Boats. They have virtually unsinkable characteristics which make them sought after in almost all marine applications.

We are looking for a team member to join us in the design and manufacturing of the buoyancy collar systems, RIB tubes and sponsons. They are one of the most important aspects to our boat designs, and are a staple product that are attached to every boat we produce. They are constructed from either a PVC or polyurethane coated fabric, such as polyester.

The oncoming team member will use computer aided design or CAD programs to help with the design, and made for production drawings. The primary tools needed will be relative to developable lofted surface modeling and flattening. CAD tools will be used to calculate and measure stress and strain of the specified fabrics and geometry’s will then be optimized for production.

This position may also help with design and manufacturing tasks associated with boat production.

This will be a great opportunity for someone to come at the ground level for a new premier boat building company.

Requirements:

-Understanding and desire to work in a fast paced, hands on manufacturing culture.

-The applicant must hold themselves to a high level of integrity.

-Must be bought into the idea of working with a team on fast paced projects.

-Must be capable of managing ones time efficiently and be able to work with little supervision.

-Must be capable of being able to generate developable lofted surfaces in 3D environment

-Must be capable of understanding how to flatten developable lofted surfaces

-Must possess general knowledge of stress and strain.

-Must have basic engineering understanding of beams in bending

CAD Software Knowledge Requirements:

-Rhino 3D

-Solidworks 2015 & 2016, proficiency in earlier versions is acceptable but will need to be able to quickly learn new tools in 2015 and 2016

-Special Interest will be paid to individuals with experience with AeroHydro’s Multisurf

Bonus Experience

-Textile 3D Modeling and General Knowledge of Textile Fabrication
