Flow along surface

I’ve been trying to this tutorial, but when I tried his grasshopper the box shows up very small on the surface. Wondering if someone could help me understand better, please.

looks like a Cull Index is missing from minute 5:00

apart from that, please internalize the geometries you are using in the definition by right clicking on them and chose “internalize”, in such a way we are both looking at the very same file :+1: then please save the GH file and reupload it

I thought it had the same Cull Index in the file?

In any case, I followed your advice, here’s the new file with internalized geometries. Thank you for your time and help.

25 days later

Your time is expired. Why so long?
Answer from @inno was posted less than two hours after your question.

I certainly didn’t know there was 20-25 day expiration date on the forum.

There isn’t an expiration date, it’s just hard for me to understand when people don’t check for a reply within hours or a few days at most.

Here’s how I would approach this.

Thank you very much. That works.
I couldn’t really see difference in option 1 and option 2 with the results. Are there differences, such as which option works better in certain cases?

Results should be the same, it is just 2 methods of doing the same thing (a learning exercise in using the Surface Morph component).

  • The Option 1 group uses fewer components and it is a minimal amount faster
    • The only component in that group that takes more than 1ms. is Surface Morph
  • Option 2 might be useful if you wanted to build varying patterns to use as input to Surface Morph
