Flow along surface issue

Hiya folks, I hope you are well!

Any idea what my issue is here? The text doesn’t want to flow horizontally only vertically and I haven’t been able to solve the issue and I can’t see anything that matches the issue on my forum search.

I know I am missing something obvious, I just can’t work out what!

Also, I have been able to project the text using ‘Pull’ and then ‘Bend’ but I’d like to make it repeatable and consistent for other name plaques I want to create.

I thought it was a directional issue but couldn’t work it out and for some reason I missed this tutorial
