Isocurves in the U direction are simple 2 point lines that increase in length at a growing but unsteady rate from 3.25 mm to 7.8463 mm. I would like to find the isocurve that is exactly 5 mm . I know it’s there, and this is probably rudimentary, but unfortunately this is my first foray into grasshopper, and I am lost setting up the appropriate chain. Help is very appreciated.

Is 4.999974 close enough?
The surface is reference using Grasshopper Rhino components
Isocurves are evaluated at a random point with two sliders. The V-Slider needs a high number of digits. The lower the number, the bigger the difference to the target length
The target length is subtracted from the current length and the absolute value is extracted.
This absolute value can be minimized using Galapagos.

Absolutely, I suppose this was a bit more involved than I was able to wrap my head around or imagine. Thank you Martin, your solution is brilliant!
