Filtering Utilization Results by Z-Coordinate in Karamba3D

I’m currently working on a structural analysis of a hypar (hyperbolic paraboloid) umbrella structure using Karamba3D. The structure is subject to gravity loads and is supported solely at its vertex. I am particularly interested in examining the stress “utilization” of the structure.

Karamba3D’s utilization feature is very helpful. However, for my analysis, I need to focus specifically on certain regions of the structure. Specifically, I’d like to display or extract utilization data only for elements located at a Z-coordinate higher than a certain value.

Could anyone guide me on how to: Filter and display & extract the results of the utilization analysis in Karamba3D to only include elements with a Z-coordinate greater than a specific value?

Hi, you can use the Utilization component to retrieve the value for each face. The faces are the same order as in the mesh.
